sad songs for dirty lovers might be my favorite album from the national. some of the songs might be harder to get into but there is a really great song almost every other song. its sequenced really well. let me know if any of you are missing this album.

So I originally said Spoon - Girls Can Tell was a boring album with no standouts but I've given it a few more tries and I found that it is really solid, especially from fitted shirt to the end. Reminds me of the strokes just in how tight the band is and how cohesive everything is. You can listen to this album once a day for a week and not get sick of it.

David - you're going to listen to Brand New - Daisy and after that you will love the band so much you will realize that the devil and god is one of the few good mainstream emo/rock albums of the decade. I don't remember if you have it so let me know if not. They might also have some of the better album covers you will see. Though I should let Emily decide on that one.

Noro - Brand New

The Letting Up Despite Great Faults song is off their s/t debut and I havent decided whether its any good yet, but this song is pretty cool. Hopefully its peppy enough for you guys.

In celebration of emily drunk texting me, here's some girly music. David you can listen to this with headphones on when no one else is around. You know, like the way you should listen to passion pit. Pearl Harbor is another lofi-ish band in the vein of warpaint/washed out/best coast. Pretty nice and short ep - Something about the Chaparrals. As a bonus, you get reminded to listen to Tusk!! This is a really good one.

why hello

I decided that since you guys are all clamoring for new music that this would be a good place for me to send you stuff and then we can have little music discussions and it will be tons of fun. It's also good because I can post stuff and then you can decide whether you want it instead of feeling like you have to listen to it because I told you so. But you will still be my favorite sibling ever if you listen and tell me what you think. Since I have a small shins obsession lets start things off with flake music, the same core group with a different name before they made it big. They were touring with modest mouse when they recorded this album, and you can kind of tell. Oh and while we are talking shins, the past and pending is the greatest song ever. Just putting that out there.
